- ➤ Brown University researchers found that a month off alcohol leads to better sleep, mood, weight loss, improved liver function & blood pressure as participants report lasting benefits. The review of 16 studies with over 150,000 participants highlights how even reduced drinking can boost health outcomes. Brown University
- ➤ Rhode Island Hospital has begun a trial testing focused ultrasound paired with immunotherapy for lung cancer patients whose cancer has spread to the brain (patients receive six two-hour treatments every three weeks using MRI for real-time guidance) to offer a less invasive alternative. - ➤ Care New England announced Monday, Jan. 12 that it is launching a new brand identity across its hospitals & care centers to unify shared services such as electronic records, billing, and clinical operations; facilities like Women & Infants, Butler, and Kent will continue to operate independently under the updated logo. 10 WJAR
