- ➤ State officials announced that Providence’s Neutaconkanut Hill Park Historic District was added to the National Register of Historic Places, recognizing its long-standing role in community heritage. The park, one of the largest - and oldest public spaces, is located in Silver Lake along the Johnston line. 10 WJAR
BUSINESS NEWS
- ➤ Rosalina, the Italian restaurant at 50 Aborn St. in downtown, will close permanently on Sunday, Feb. 15 after 13 years of service — meanwhile, PVDonuts on the East Side remains closed but will reopen soon. The Providence Journal
- ➤ Morin’s Restaurant Group paused CRU PVD on West Fountain Street to rethink its full-service model, canceling reservations and cutting staff to better serve local demand; it plans to reopen in the second quarter if the new concept meets community needs (despite mixed reactions over staffing practices). The Boston Globe
- ➤ Trinity Brewhouse reopened on Feb. 12 under new family owners who renovated the brewpub for six months to add more TVs + an open dining area on Fountain St. The venue pays homage to its past with a display of six paddles honoring former brewers. The Providence Journal

- ➤ Astronomy fans in the area can look forward to the Worm Moon on March 3 as it will rise with a total lunar eclipse and turn blood-red between 6:04 a.m. and 7:02 a.m.- its peak at 6:38 a.m. may be harder to catch close to sunrise. The Providence Journal
- ➤ The Little Bubblegum Bookshop on Wickenden St evolved from a free library to a cozy shop dedicated to diverse romance reads. Today from 6 to 8 p.m., it partners with Third Space Floral Studio for a Galentine's Day bouquet bar and book pairing event. Rhode Island PBS

- ➤ Superintendents from Providence, Cranston, Bristol-Warren & Chariho report that school budgets are strained due to declining enrollment, uncertain federal funding and rising costs for maintenance and special needs. - ➤ Rhode Island Medical Imaging opened its new diagnostic imaging facility in Pawtucket with a ribbon cutting ceremony held Thursday at 10:00 a.m., and local leaders attended as the center started offering services (mammography, CT scans, and ultrasounds). 10 WJAR
