Cranston police found 45-year-old Linda Delomba in the back of a parked car five days after she was reported missing and arrested her caretaker, Roberta Gerard, on charges of abuse and exploitation of an adult with severe impairment and obstruction— police say the investigation is still active.

Linda DaLomba, the Cranston Police Chief who was reported missing on Wednesday, was found safe in a parked car at the intersection of Pond Street and Station Street on March 23 — she was then taken to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation.

Rhode Island’s oldest public high school — Classical High School — was founded in 1843 and still serves over 1,000 students today in Providence.
