  • General Dynamics Electric Boat will hire 8,000 workers this year at its Quonset Point, North Kingstown, and Groton facilities to boost submarine production, including 3,250 new hires at Quonset Point + over 1 million sqft of manufacturing space planned in North Kingstown.  The Providence Journal

  • Trader Joe’s is recalling frozen meals in Providence and Warwick stores after the FDA found glass in rice packets (1-pound bags). The recall now covers nearly 37 million pounds of meals, so customers should check their products.  The Boston Globe
