- ➤ A federal judge in Rhode Island ordered Richard Hatch to pay $3.3m in back taxes and penalties linked to his Survivor win, and he appealed the ruling to the First US Circuit Court of Appeals on March 19—his appeal is ongoing. The Boston Globe
