EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Brown University admitted 2,564 students (1,674 regular and 890 early decision applicants) to its Class of 2030 on March 26, and many will benefit from robust financial aid as they prepare to enroll. Brown University
- ➤ State and local leaders, including Gov. Dan McKee and Education Commissioner Angélica Infante-Green, held a press conference Friday morning to tout progress on Providence school construction. - ➤ Brown University School of Public Health and Bryant University launched a new pathway program to guarantee eligible Bryant graduates admission to Brown’s master of public health program. - ➤ State officials report that the Attendance Matters RI campaign reduced chronic absenteeism by 12 percentage points from 2021-22 to 2024-25 even as 22% of students still miss a significant portion of school days, and stalled efforts like the Attendance for Success Act suggest more state authority is needed across districts.
