- ➤ Viola Davis from Central Falls released her first crime novel Judge Stone in collaboration with James Patterson on March 9; the courtroom thriller addressing social issues is now No. 3 on the New York Times Best Sellers list. The Providence Journal
- ➤ Pamela Granbery’s Radiant States exhibit is on view at Newport Art Museum until April 19, marking her influence that began with selling her first painting at age 10; every Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, local artists join an open figure drawing meet-up (fee: $15) hosted by William Heydt.
