- ➤ The 23-person team at Dewetron, Inc. (in East Greenwich) helped support NASA’s Artemis II mission on Friday, Apr. 10 by providing high-tech equipment to test spacecraft systems ahead of launch. Company leaders said they plan to stay involved as future missions develop. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Mount Pleasant High School was placed on lockdown Friday afternoon when a staff member reported a student dropping what looked like a gun, and police later cleared the building after the student left the premises. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Rustic Tri-View Drive-In in North Smithfield celebrated its 75th season on Friday when it opened its gates at 6:30 p.m. and screened two films, The Super Mario Galaxy Movie + Project Hail Mary. 10 WJAR
- ➤ The 76th RI Home Show+ is underway at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, offering home improvement, design, food, wellness and art exhibits with over 200 exhibitors, seven immersive experiences and 65 clinicians, plus interactive zones where visitors can create art and sample local brews; the event runs through Sunday. 10 WJAR
- ➤ Trinity Rep names Meredith McDonough as artistic director during its $35 million renovation of the 575-seat Chace Theater. The Brooklyn-based director will move to Providence this summer and plans to develop new plays and musicals with company members, including staging her debut of 'Emma' at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. - ➤ Students rallied at Croft School on Friday, Apr. 10 to ask for community support amid a financial crisis after the founder admitted to cooking the books. Parents had raised $1M but needed over $650K to secure continued classes and staff contracts. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Every weekday between 10 and 11 a.m. until early June, I-95 South will close for 10 minutes near the Warwick/E. Greenwich line to allow controlled blasting that removes rock along the Route 4 ramp; the work is part of a larger project to build connecting ramps. The Providence Journal
- ➤ Rhode Island residents can now check their tax refund status online using the Division of Taxation's 'Where's My Refund?' tool by entering the required info (tax year, Social Security number and refund amount); returns are due April 15 and digital filings may yield refunds within two to three weeks.
