- ➤ Hasbro has delayed its decision to move its headquarters from Pawtucket to the Boston area because of tariff concerns. Its CEO said clarity will come by summer with a 12-month transition period—state and city officials have not received further updates. The Boston Globe
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Pawtucket man, James Grilli, was charged with the 2008 murder of Carl Seebeck during an attempted robbery and will be arraigned on April 16—he had previously pled no contest to the second-degree murder of Erika Belcourt in Woonsocket while serving a life sentence plus a consecutive 5-year term. - ➤ Linda DaLomba’s family filed a lawsuit in Providence Superior Court against the Seven Hills Foundation and caregiver Roberta Gerard — who faces charges for abuse and neglect — after she went missing for five days and was later found safe in a parked car, seeking clear answers on care policies and accountability. - ➤ John Peck, known as The Mad Peck, died at 82 and leaves behind a legacy as an underground cartoonist and disc jockey who shaped Providence’s music and art scene with his comic-strip reviews and iconic concert posters—his work included posters for Cream and Jimi Hendrix. The Boston Globe

- ➤ Federal officials expanded their investigation into Brown University for a Title VI Federal Rights Violation starting with the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, and HHS will gather documents and conduct interviews (this review may consider issues from antisemitism to other discriminatory actions). Brown University said it acted in compliance with Title VI during its response to a protest at its medical school graduation (it had settled previous antisemitism charges through an agreement with the Office of Human Rights). - ➤ South County Hospital is facing a dispute as community members and doctors accused of leaving the hospital demand leadership changes. - ➤ McCoy Stadium—a cherished site for local family memories—is being demolished for a new high school, and a local father attended the naming event for Centreville Bank Stadium on the Seekonk River.
