- ➤ Temple Emanu-El marks Holocaust Remembrance Day by hosting a candlelight procession at 6:45 p.m. and screening the documentary +Marching All Night: A Family’s Journey from the Lodz Ghetto to Auschwitz-Birkenau+ at 7 p.m., letting the community remember those lost in the Holocaust. ABC 6
- ➤ Yesterday, the Armenian community marked the 110th anniversary when Governor Dan McKee spoke at a flag-raising ceremony at Pawtucket City Hall — on Sunday, the Armenian Martyr’s Memorial Committee will honor the anniversary with a ceremony at North Burial Ground in Providence. ABC 6

- ➤ Rhode Island added 800 in-state jobs in the first quarter of 2025 while employed residents dropped by 2,300, with labor participation falling to 64.1 percent and unemployment rising to 4.7 percent—higher than regional and national rates. - ➤ Mayor Brett Smiley and American Cruise Lines said that Providence will welcome cruise ships again after four years. The ships will dock at the Seastreak Ferry Terminal on India Street in May using a temporary floating dock while plans for a permanent setup are made — eight-day cruises will travel to New Beford, Nantucket, and Block Island. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Yale New Haven Health System, which runs Westerly Hospital, announced a data breach affecting over 5.5 million patients on April 24—medical records and payment details were not exposed and affected individuals will receive letters offering credit monitoring and identity protection.
