ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday at 2:53 p.m., Cranston police responded to a Walmart parking lot report when a RIPTA bus ran over the leg of a 62-year-old woman who tripped while trying to alert the driver—she was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. 10 WJAR
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A 24-year-old man was arrested after allegedly shooting his brother on Saturday, May 3 at around 8:00 p.m. in Providence — he faces charges of domestic felony assault and a firearms offense as police continue their investigation. 10 WJAR
- ➤ A 24-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly shot his 29-year-old brother at a Providence home on East Drive in the Wanskuck neighborhood on May 3 (8:15 p.m.), and police said the victim remained in stable condition while the suspect faces charges of domestic felony assault, shooting in a compact area and felony assault with a firearm. - ➤ Providence Police arrested 24-year-old Eliezer Colon on May 3 for allegedly shooting his 29-year-old brother on East Drive— the victim is in stable condition as the investigation continues. ABC 6

- ➤ Rhode Island celebrated its 249th Independence Day with free State House tours on Saturday—Gov. Dan McKee joined the events as the state marked 249 years since delegates signed the Act of Renunciation on May 4, 1776. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Marathon runners competed on May 4 along a new 26.2-mile course that began and ended at Bold Point Park while passing through Barrington, Pawtucket, and Providence.
