- ➤ RIDEM has closed area 16E of the Lower Providence River (following a sewage discharge near the East Bay Bike Path that released about 800,000 gallons of untreated sewage on Wed, May 6). Water and shellfish testing will continue until the water is safe. 10 WJAR
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Rhode Island Senate approved a bill that lets National Guard members gift tuition benefits to an immediate family member (spouse or child) on May 6; the measure now heads to the House for review. Downtown Providence
- ➤ Providence filed a municipal court complaint on May 6 against Audubon Capital Partners for allegedly using an algorithm to set rental prices at two Innovation District buildings, 95 Lofts (95 Chestnut St.) and Chestnut Commons (180 Friendship St.).
