- ➤ Abigail Clarkin of InDowncity PVD said a popular downtown event will return and several new restaurants will open this summer to connect residents + tourists. The announcement aims to boost the local scene. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Kung Fu Tea on Waterman Street is set to close on May 14 after 10 years of serving bubble tea because its building is being redeveloped. Owner Hanjoon Cho said he received notice two months ago, and local customers are coming to support the business during its final days. 10 WJAR
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Brown University President Christina Paxson announced design work on the full renovation of Barus and Holley classrooms to create safer, more welcoming spaces for campus life. - ➤ Brown alumna and award-winning author Xochitl Gonzalez will deliver the Baccalaureate address to the Class of 2026 on Saturday, May 23 at First Baptist Church in America in Providence, where she will share insights from her celebrated literary career (including advice on staying curious). - ➤ Pawtucket officials announced that the Tidewater Landing project is moving into its second phase, with 325 housing units on the east and 250 on the west and new public amenities, including a riverwalk and plazas.
