- ➤ Upgraded amenities and an expanded boardwalk will welcome visitors to state beaches in Narragansett and Westerly on Memorial Day weekend. The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management will finish additional work in June + seasonal services and paid parking return. The Providence Journal
- ➤ The East Providence community dedicated a playground at Grassy Plains Park to honor 5-year-old Blake Costa, who died in 2020 after his battle with brain cancer. 10 WJAR

- ➤ Protesters gathered outside the Providence State House yesterday to oppose the removal of a partially finished mural honoring Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee stabbed to death on a train in North Carolina in 2025—building owners agreed to take it down after officials raised concerns over its political funding. 10 WJAR
