- ➤ Teatro ECAS in Providence is showing 'La Dama Boba,' a modern take on Lope de Vega's comedy that uses rap music and bold set design—red plastic crates—to bring new life to the classic story. - ➤ Reenactors in Bristol recreated two major Revolutionary War events as part of paying tribute to the 250th anniversary. They staged a 1775 bombing—triggered by a refusal to supply the British—and a 1778 raid that burned 30 town buildings where patriot forces prevailed. ABC 6

- ➤ Colleges across Southern New England celebrated graduation season this weekend—Johnson and Wales, Roger Williams University and the Community College of Rhode Island held ceremonies earlier, while University of Rhode Island, Rhode Island College, Providence College, Wheaton College, Bristol Community College, Stonehill College and Salve Regina University are holding ceremonies today. Governor Dan McKee is expected to speak at Rhode Island College and Salve Regina ceremonies while former Governor Charlie Baker delivered a keynote at New England Institute of Technology on May 4 and Brown University will hold its commencement on May 25—marking a varied schedule of events across the region. 10 WJAR
