- ➤ Providence Public Schools broke ground Wednesday on a new Alfred Lima and Gilbert Stuart PreK-8 school on Princeton Avenue as part of a $1 billion plan to modernize schools in time for the district’s return to local control by July 1; it is set to open in 2027 (expected to serve about 1,000 students). 10 WJAR
