HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Rhode Island recorded 329 fatal drug overdoses in 2024, an 18.6-percent drop from 404 in 2023, Gov. Dan McKee said on June 11. Officials noted that 69-percent opioid-involved and 61-percent cocaine-involved deaths were common and stressed that more work remains to reach a 2030 goal of a 30-percent reduction in overdoses.
