ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Firefighters battled a large house fire on Teofilo Braga Way in East Providence on Saturday morning — the blaze caused traffic delays along Veterans Memorial Parkway and responders from Providence and the American Red Cross arrived while investigators probed the cause. 10 WJAR
- ➤ East Providence firefighters fought a blaze at a three story residential building on Teofilo Braga Way Saturday morning — residents were told to avoid Veterans Memorial Parkway, First Street and Mauran Avenue until crews cleared the area and Mayor Bob DaSilva said no serious injuries occurred as everyone was evacuated. CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Saturday, June 21, a 68-year-old frozen lemonade truck driver in Providence was attacked and robbed near Roger Williams Park when two masked suspects struck him in the stomach with a hammer (shortly before 2:30 p.m.) and fled with several hundred dollars (exact amount not disclosed) while he was taken to Rhode Island Hospital by Providence Rescue as police investigate.
