- ➤ The Boys and Girls Clubs of Providence broke ground yesterday for $10.9 million renovations on the nearly 100-year-old Wanskuck Clubhouse. The project will boost space for children and add teen career training programs — supported in part by a $2 million federal earmark. 10 WJAR
- ➤ Today is the first day of PVDFest at Kennedy Plaza, a two-day event with live music, food and art that features a live art challenge. RIPTA has moved bus stops to Dyer Street between Dorrance and Ship Streets—closed Washington Street and detoured routes to let residents enjoy the fest, with rain set to push some events to Sunday. - ➤ RI resident Alix Cavas filed a class action lawsuit against Chewy, claiming the company charged extra sales tax on autoship orders from 2022 to today—customers in the program may join the suit. The Providence Journal

- ➤ Jaylen Lambert, a 17-year-old accused of fatally shooting his older brother during a fight in March, appeared in court on March 17 for a pre-trial conference—he entered a not guilty plea earlier in the year. 10 WJAR
- ➤ A woman who was allegedly filmed in the shower at URI has filed a lawsuit against the school—she claims the campus failed to keep her safe and that false statements were made about her knowing the suspect after an incident in Adams Hall when a 29-year-old man was arrested for video voyeurism. 10 WJAR

- ➤ PVDFest kicks off Friday in Downtown Providence with music, art, and food from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.—city officials say Haitian-born singer Moonlight Benjamin will headline the event. The festival will continue on Saturday from noon to 9:00 p.m.—a performance mixing visual theater, music, and audience participation will feature a 30-foot puppet head. 10 WJAR
