- ➤ The Diocese of Providence approved mergers in West Warwick and Providence that join Our Lady of Good Counsel and SS. Peter and Paul with St. Joseph and bring St. Agnes into St. Ann—these changes were announced at weekend Masses. Parishes in Pawtucket have proposed merging with others, and their plans will be reviewed by the Council of Priests before the bishop makes a decision. The Providence Journal

- ➤ ByHeart voluntarily recalled two lots of its powdered baby formula after federal officials linked the product to 13 infant botulism cases across 10 states—including one in Rhode Island. The company said no toxins were found in its products and advised consumers to dispose of any recalled items while offering free replacements. The Providence Journal
