  • After 30 years, Crazy Burger in Narragansett closed when owner Michael Maxen announced on Facebook that the restaurant ran out of money+the abrupt shutdown ends a long-standing local tradition. Wakefield residents Megan and Scott Durocher said they were heartbroken after meeting there on a blind date in 2001+they remember the eatery as a cherished part of South County history.  10 WJAR

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Researchers at URI launched the Rhode Island Bobcat Project to track the comeback of bobcats using camera traps and citizen reports—over 600 sightings have been reported so far. The study placed 320 cameras at 160 sites and will collar the animals to monitor their movements for conservation efforts.  Rhode Island PBS
